"Stevie came to me in early October, 2010. A scared, poorly bred, Landseer who at just shy of two years, had seen 4 or 5 homes, including her awesome foster mom, Janey. She spent a summer in Washington state with us and enjoyed the peace of a historical farm. That was the first attempt at getting the Newfie to enjoy water; not a fan. We attempted to get her to enjoy people, ice hockey and snow. Of the three, snow is definitely her most favorite, though now she prefers a good fire in the fireplace rather than a romp. She fell in love with my grandsons, and when Michael was born became instant Nanny. While they were still living with us, Stevie was always near him. I am so glad I took one look at her and thought, "we need each other."
